Divdesmit gadu laikā pierādījumu bāze bija zāļu pret placebo, kas teica klīnicistiem, ka bioloģiskās zāles darbojas, bet neko par to, kuru izvēlēties. Tīkla meta-analīze to ir mainījusi, izmantojot kopīgus salīdzinājumus, lai netieši rangotu terapijas [1][4].

Tas joprojām ir speciālista lēmums ar ierobežotu pierādījumu bāzi, un šeit vienas šūnas darbs, kas raksturo atbildes heterogenitāti [2], visdrīzāk mainīs praksi — prognozējot, kuru mehānismu mērķēt konkrētā pacientā, nevis to atklājot secīgi neizdodas.
